Its 200,000-token context window is the largest available among mainstream AI assistants, meaning you can feed it an entire book, a full codebase, or dozens of research papers and work across all of it in a single conversation.

The free tier is functional but limited by daily usage caps. Pro at $20/month gives higher limits and access to the Projects feature, which maintains persistent memory and uploaded documents within organized workspaces. Claude does not generate images and has no plugin ecosystem. What it does have is a consistent refusal to take shortcuts — it tells you when a task is ambiguous rather than producing confident-sounding nonsense.
