What we do
Toolsift is an independent publication that reviews and compares AI tools across writing, productivity, marketing, research, coding, image, video and e-commerce. We hands-on test every tool — no affiliate-driven rankings, no AI-spun fluff.
How we score
Every tool we publish has three scores out of 10:
- Overall — weighted total across all dimensions.
- Value — quality relative to price.
- Expert score — verdict of our editorial team after at least 5 hours of hands-on testing.
Editorial independence
We may earn affiliate commissions on some links, but rankings are never influenced by deals or sponsorships. If a tool ranks high, it ranks high because it earned it.
Who's behind Toolsift
Toolsift is run by a small editorial team of practitioners who use these tools daily for our own work — writers, operators, designers and engineers. We update our reviews weekly and re-test top tools every quarter.
